We're sorry to see you go — but your data is yours, and deleting it is straightforward. This page explains exactly how to delete your account, what gets deleted, and what the law still requires us to keep. It applies to the Elixir Invoicing app and web app.
Before you delete — save a copy
Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. If you might need your records later (for taxes, for example), first export a full backup from inside the app (Gold plan): Settings → Backup & Restore → Back up. That file is yours to keep.
How to delete your account
Deletion is self-service, inside the app — you never need to email anyone:
- Open Elixir Invoicing and go to Settings → Account.
- Tap Delete account and read what will be removed.
- Confirm — cloud accounts re-enter their password, so a borrowed phone can't do this by accident.
- Done. Your account, your cloud data and the copy on that device are deleted immediately and permanently, and you're signed out.
If you've forgotten your password, first use "Forgot password?" on the sign-in screen to reset it, sign in, and then delete from Settings as above.
What gets deleted
- Your account and sign-in (name, company name, trade, plan and email).
- All of your business data stored in the cloud: invoices, estimates, clients, products and services, expenses, jobs, photos, receipts and signatures.
- Your support chat history with us, where it is tied to your account.
What is not deleted by this request
- Copies on your other devices: deleting wipes the device you delete from, immediately. If you are signed in on other devices too, uninstall the app there as well — or open it once so it signs out and clears its local copy.
- Copies you exported: backup files, PDFs and emails you saved or sent are in your own keeping.
- Limited records the law requires: for example, subscription and tax transaction records (processed by Google Play and our payment/tax obligations) may be retained for the period the law requires, and are then deleted. These records are never used for marketing.
Subscriptions
Deleting your account does not by itself cancel a subscription purchased through Google Play. To stop future charges, cancel the subscription in Google Play as well — the app reminds you of this on the deletion confirmation screen.
Questions
Anything unclear, open Help & Support inside the app and message the support assistant — a human replies within one business day. See also our Privacy Policy (Sections 8 and 10) and Terms & Conditions.
